Mat Eclair

Mat Eclair are Holger Crüger and Daniel Bolander. They met in 2017, when Holger was looking for a roommate in Aarhus and Daniel answered his advert. They came from different parts of Denmark and had no mutual friends, but music quickly became the foundation of their friendship.

Daniel had been DJing and producing since sixteen. Holger had grown up loving house music that few people around him shared. The apartment became their first studio.

Daniel is analytical and exacting, Holger works on instinct and ambition, and that contrast shapes every record. Their house music combines driving drums, synth melodies, unexpected turns and vocals the duo perform themselves, aiming for records that sound like theirs before anyone knows who made them.

They found that sound over years of quiet sessions and music shared to almost no response, until their records travelled from online communities to major dancefloors. Come As You Are grew from the same conviction: human emotion over formula. Their music has been supported by Chris Stussy, Omar+, Riordan, Robbie Doherty, Julian Fijma, ChaseWest, Martin Garrix, Tiësto and Odd Mob.
